The genus Colletogyne contains just a single species: Colletogyne perrieri. This is only found in Northern Madagascar, and typically grows in limestone pockets filled with humus.

Colletogyne perrieri is desperately rare in cultivation and virtually never seen in collections outside major botanical institutions.
