Agave colorata is an unusual and attractive agave from Mexico, and should be reasonably cold tolerant if kept on the dry side. Rarely cultivated.
Raised from seed, these are strong young specimens that will quickly developing into beautiful plants. As with most agave species, grow in a sunny position. With time the plants will develop into handsome rosettes with wide and tough, backward-curved spined leaves that can develop attractive markings.
