Allium flavum in a 9cm pot.
Allium flavum is a dwarf Allium species, widely distributed throughout much of the Mediterranean basin. It is variable in colour, appearing in various shades of yellow. This is a new form for us, only recently added to our bulb collection, but it should be a strong and bright yellow form.
Suited either for a pot in an alpine house or cold greenhouse, or outside in a well drained full sun position. A raised bed or trough with sharp drainage would be perfect.
To 30cm in height with narrow glaucus foliage.
The photo is representative of the form we offer (yet to flower for us, although these plants are now flowering sized).
