Amsonia tabernaemontana might be a bit of a mouthful to pronounce, but don’t be put off by the long name! ‘Blue Ice’ is a superb variety – 1 metre tall lax stems with pale blue starry flowers. This is a useful herbaceous plant as the flower colour is most unusual.
For best results sow the seeds in cold frame or similar environment. Seeds should germinate in the spring.
