Description

Price per 9x Arisaema brevicollum seeds. Very few available.

Arisaema brevicollum is a rarely seen Japanese species, closely related to Arisaema nikoense and Arisaema ishizuchiense. The Japanese botanist, Jin Murata, has raised Arisaema brevicollum to being it’s own species, rather than a subspecies of either A.nikoense or A.ishizuchiense.

Found in forested areas of Central Honshu, this makes attractive plants with large and strongly striped spathes. Best grown in a pot rather than in the garden as it detests winter wet.

Unusual and very rarely offered for sale.
