Arisaema maxwellii is a strictly tropical species, making a simply wonderful bright yellow inflorescence with a bristly spadix. Although tropical in it’s origins, it does grow on a seasonal cycle from a tuber and is not an evergreen species. Cultivation can be easily achieved in a greenhouse or windowsill, provide that the tubers do not experience any winter cold.
This is not a difficult plant – sow the seeds in typical seed compost and grow in a well drained compost mix out of full sun.
