Arisaema thunbergii has a very wide distribution, and there are three recognised subspecies. Arisaema thunbergii ssp. urashima comes from Japan.

There are numerous cultivated forms of this subspecies, with the best forms often fetching astonishing amounts at auction. ‘Soshin’ is a very rare and desirable form with a pale spathe tube and a long protruding yellow spadix – a fantastic, unusual and much sought after plant.

There are numerous cultivated forms of this subspecies, with the best forms often fetching astonishing amounts at auction. ‘Soshin’ is a very rare and desirable form with a pale spathe tube and a long protruding yellow spadix – a fantastic, unusual and much sought after plant.

We are offering dormant bulblets with a diameter of around 0.5 – 1 cm. These will need growing on for several years before reaching flowering size. Bulblets can be stubborn to grow, so please be patient. It is possible they will need a full annual cycle before the sprout.
