Price per 1x tuber of Arisaema triphyllum.
Arisaema triphyllum is a small and attractive species from North America, where it has a wide distribution, and a correspondingly wide level of variation within the species.
The leaves are trifoliate. Plants can reach around 70cm in height, although usually much less than this. The spathes can range from green through to brown or red, sometimes with white stripes, sometimes without. Similarly, the stems and leaves also show variation with veining sometimes being present.
The inflourescence is held underneath the foliage, and emerges along with the leaves. Flowering typically occurs in April through to early May.
Arisaema triphyllum is an easily grown species. It can do well planted out in the garden, although care should be given to it’s position – dappled shade in good quality soil is important, as is ample moisture during the growing season. Under ideal conditions it can establish into a sizeable clump, although this will take a few years.
These tubers are still smallish – just at first flowering stage. I would hope that they will flower this season, but it is possible that it will take another year.
