Description

1x Arum concinnatum tuber, approx 3cm in diameter in length and making offsets. This is likely 1 year away from reaching flowering size.

Arum concinnatum is one of the largest of the Arum genus – fully sized and established specimens can reach almost 1 metre tall under ideal conditions. It is also highly variable and a number of different forms are known in cultivation. We are propagating several of these different forms here.

Reproducing readily via offsets, Arum concinnatum has proven fully hardy outside for us in Devon.

These young tubers will need growing on for a year or so before flowering, but under good conditions and with regular fertiliser, they very quickly bulk up in size. They will go on to give an excellent foliage display in their first year in the ground.

These tubers are from a variegated leaf form – a lovely and attractive plant.

Flowering occurs in the spring with large inflorescences smelling strongly of dung.
