1x fully rooted Bilbergia nutans rosette, sent bare root. This can be potted on or planted on arrival.
Bilbergia nutans is a remarkable plant from the Bromeliad family. Certainly cool tolerant, it is likely to be hardy in the UK in a mild garden although should be given some overhead cover and protected from the worst of the frosts. We’ve grown this in Devon successfully outside, and it seems fine in an unheated greenhouse.
Making attractive rosettes of bright green pointed leaves, offsetting and multiplying freely, this plant can be grown in the ground or pot, or as an epiphyte attached to a suitable substrate. Remarkable multicoloured flower spikes are produced in summer with pink, green, yellow and blue.
