‘Pink China’ is a wonderful Colocasia that was originally introduced into cultivation in the USA by Brian Willians. It has bright pink stems topped with large matt green leaves. Vigorous and very easy to please.
Pink China has proven itself hardy throughout much of the UK, although a thick mulch is essential. Not hardy in pots as we found out to our cost! Clump forming over time, this is a very attractive garden plant. It spreads via stolons with root and form new plants. This is the most vigorous Colocasia for growing in the garden in the UK.
Grow in rich soil. Plenty of water will give best results. Suited for sun through to moderate shade.
