Description
1x seed packet containing 10 seeds of Dasylirion wheeleri.
From desert regions of Mexico and Southern USA, Dasylirion wheeleri is a superb plant, and should be high on the list for any hot and dry garden or when planting for drought conditions. This has proven hardy here in Devon for many years. Ideal conditions would be a south facing slope in well drained soil and full sun.
Densely spiked rosettes give the plant an intriguing appearance, and stout trunks are produced on very old plants.
Sow the seeds in good quality seed compost, keep warm and humid until germination occurs.
Typically slow growing, however, we have found it is possible to acheive decent sized plants after just a few years.
