Description

Price per 1x Deuterocohnia brevifolia plant growing in a 7cm pot.

Deuterocohnia brevifolia is a member of the Bromeliad family from South America. It is a dwarf species that reaches a maximum height of around 12-15cm and can eventually grow into multi-headed clumps over time, forming a dense cushion effect. Not that you’d like to sit on it – these are spikey little plants!

Easily grown in a gritty soil, similar to that typically used for succulents and cacti. This has proven absolutely fine here in an unheated greenhouse and polytunnel for over 10 years and has experienced -8 under cover when kept dry. Protect from winter wet. A fantastic little pot plant.
