Making stiff evergreen strappy leaves, Dianella tasmanica is an attractive little plant. Originating from parts of Australia (including Tasmania, as the name suggests!), it has now been grown widely across the globe.
The flowers are held on tall spikes and are yellow and deep purple in colour, however, the real show is produced by the plump berries in late summer. These are a fantastic rich purple and have to be seen to be believed!
Hardy and easy to grow. Ideal for the front of a border.
