Eccremocarpus scaber, sometimes known as the Chilean Glory Flower, is a very easy plant. Seedlings grow rapidly and commonly flower from their first year. This evergreen climber makes bright orange or red tubular flowers tinged with yellow. They are produced in abundance from mid summer.
Fully hardy in mild areas of the UK, although in colder parts of the country it is best considerd as an annual. Seeds are freely produced and it is easy to start from seed each year. Reliably hardy for us here in Devon.
