From the Atlas Mountains of Morocco comes this fantastic Eryngium species – one of the finest in the genus.

This produces low growing mounds of spiky evergreen heavily dissected leaves highlighted with beautiful variegation. Flower spiked are flushed with deep purple. Best grown in full sun.

Sow in any regular seed compost. Cover the seeds with just 1 or 2mm of grit or compost and keep moist. No additional wamth is required, and these are easy to germinate and rewarding to grow.

We cannot send plants, tubers, bulbs or seeds to EU countries due to Brexit. EU orders cannot currently be placed using the shopping cart on this website.

We aim to dispatch all orders within 5 working days (most are within a day or two). However, please be aware that Ben also works as a full-time gardener in addition to running this webshop, and in very busy periods dispatch may be a day or two longer. Any delays will always be communicated.

The leaves are lobed, and an attractive deep glossy green. However, it is the flowers that really steal the show! Large, very showy and simply stunning - the exotic-looking blooms are white with blue filaments surrounding the floral parts. Mature plants are capable of setting bright orange, inedible fruits. Grow in a sheltered location in rich soil in full sun to light shade. If the top growth is cut back by heavy frosts, it will readily reshoot in the spring.
