Price per 1x tuber of Gonatopus angustus. This is very rarely offered plant. Just two tubers available, and I don’t expect I’ll be able to offer this species again for a few years.
Gonatopus angustus produces large, slightly fleshy tubers that seem to have semi-persistent roots. Therefore, do not store it dry during dormancy and keep it only just moist in the compost whilst dormant. The tuber offered is around 5+cm in length.
Gonatopus is an African genus containing 5 species. Only Gonatopus boivinii is in widespread cultivation, and that is still a rarely seen plant. Gonatopus angustus is less commonly encountered. The tubers make attractive, divided leaves, much like their better known cousins, Amorphophallus. White inflorescences are made close to ground level.
Whilst not a difficult plant, it is also perhaps not the ideal plant for a beginner either. We have found it grows best in a warm environment with high humidity.
