Libertia peregrinans is a wonderful grass-like plant originating from New Zealand, making erect stands of stiff, bright orange leaves.
Spreading gradually via underground rhizomes, this tough plant makes a highly ornamental garden subject.
Although looking like a grass at first glance, Libertia is actually a member of the Iridaceae family. For any sunny spot in the garden. Hardy, although slight foliage damage can occur during extreme cold events.

Sedum compressum is a low growing succulent that has been hardy here in Devon for many years. Grow in a rich soil for best results (this is a greedy plant). Give a good mulch once it dies back for the winter. With regular watering and feeding during the summer months, this plant will put on some serious growth. A fantastic plant for an exotic style border.
