I first saw Pancratium canariense growing in very rocky, hot and dry conditions on the Southern coast of Tenerife. It was remarkable to see such a delicate and beautiful flower appear from the dusty landscape, and it made a lasting impression. I am delighted to offer seeds of this wonderful plant.
Pancratium canariense is not winter hardy in the UK and will need frost free conditions. Growing on a typical Mediterranean bulb cycle, it is summer dormant and will start into growth in the autumn. The pure white and highly fragrent flowers are produced from late autumn through to early winter.
Seeds germinate easily in a very well drained compost mix.
