Pinellia cordata Pink Flowered Form. Price is per 4x leaf bulbils.
Pinellia cordata is a very small plant with narrow arrow shaped leaves and a dwarf inflorescence held level with the foliage. The species seems to be quite variable, and in this form, the leaves are plain green and the inflorescence has a pink flush.
This is a naturally small plant and ideally suited to a shady position out in the garden or to pot cultivation (probably a better idea).
This species produces naturally small tubers. An interesting feature is that Pinellia cordata produces small bulbils on the leaf axils and at the point where the petiole joins the leaf. These drop off in the autumn and can be used to make new plants. Leaf bulbils are naturally very small (0.5cm) and are best sown as you would with a seed. They are best started off in the spring.
