Description
Price per 1x Scilla autumnalis ‘Titan’ bulb.
Scilla autumnalis is a well known bulbous species, grown for it’s beautiful pale lilac blooms. The normal form of this species is rather diminutive in size, where as ‘Titan’ will never be a huge plant, it is much larger in all its parts. Reports online suggest a height of up to 60cm, but for us, around 40cm or so seems more normal.
This clone does not set seed and so has to be propagated by division, this is a slow process as it is not hugely generous with making new bulbs. We are offering flowering sized bulbs of this very rare clone.
Flowers are a pale pink with a hint of lilac. It has been absulutely unphased planted out in the open garden here for a number of years, but perhaps might be better suited for a bulb pot in an alpine house or similar.
