Description
Price per 1x small tuber. Approx 0.5cm in size.
Typhonium blumei is very closely related to the more commonly seen Typhonium roxburghii, and the two species are very similar in appearance. Making deep green arrow-shaped leaves, the inflorescence is a velvety maroon colour with a long brownish spadix. The scent is typical for a Typhonium (in other words, this plant stinks!).
Tubers reach flowering size at around 2cm. These tubers we are offering are offset and will need growing on before a flower can be enjoyed. However, this is an easy species and tubers will bulk up quickly. Wish offsets such as these, it is best to treat them as if they are seeds. Grow in a well drained and good quality compost. Keep warm and just moist until growth starts.
