Description

Formally described to science in 2012, Typhonium rhizomatosum is an easily grown and small species that produces a deep maroon inflorescence and long rhizomatous offsets from the main tuber.

Grow in a well drained compost mix. This appears to be a relatively easy species. It is essential that the tubers are kept in their compost whilst dormant in order to prevent desiccation. Keep virtually dry during this period.

Nearly all Typhonium are small plants, and this is no exception. Plants reach around 15cm in height.

These tubers should be flowering sized, but are naturally small.
