Description
1x seed packet containing 10 seeds of Zantedeschia jucunda.
Zantedeschia jucunda, commonly known as the ‘Yellow Arum Lily’, is a superb species of Arum Lily from the Sekhukuneland mountains in the North East of South Africa. The true species is not common – this plant was originally introduced into cultivation by the late Rod and Rachel Saunders of Silverhill Seeds of South Africa.
Making bright yellow urn-shaped flowers, this is an especially beautiful Arum Lily. Fully hardy in an unheated greenhouse, we have not tested it outside unprotected yet, however, it should be hardy in a normal UK winter provided that the soil is not too wet for the colder months.
Zantedeschia jucunda seeds germinate readily – soak the seeds for 24 hours and sow into a regular seed potting mix. Gentle bottom heat aids germination.
