Description
Acanthus sennii is an Ethiopian species. In warm climates it makes evergreen tall woody stems with prickly holly-like leaves, and topped off with a bright red flowers spike in late summer. In colder climates it behaves more as a herbaceous plant, being cut back to the ground each year, although it appears to be perfectly hardy for us here, even in pots.
A lovely and unusual plant, well worth growing.
Different pot sizes available.
