Description
Price per 1x Arisaema consanguineum tuber. Tubers are about the size of a medium sized marble. This is a nice clone I have not offered before, being very vigorous and with a greenish spathe. Not yet flowering sized (probably 1 year from flowering). Few available.
Arisaema consanguineum has a very large distribution in the wild. In fact, this is the most widespread of all the Asian species and it is not surprising that there are numerous regional differences between some wild populations. Here in the UK, it is perfectly hardy when grown in a partially shaded position in well drained, humous rich soil, although it can take a little more sun than most Arisaema.
Arisaema consanguineum has either 1 or 2 leaves, each with up to 22 leaflets with tips ending in long drooping threads. The inflorescence is generally green in colour, sometimes with hints of red, brown or maroon.
As with most Arisaemas, a shaded spot will suit Arisaema consanguineum best, although it can tolerate a little more sun than some other species.
