Agave americana variegata is perhaps the most popular and widely grown of all Agave species in the UK. Maybe the best species for a first time Agave grower!
Ultimately reaching large sizes, the viciously spined fleshy leaves have yellow variegation running down their length.
Grow in a well drained potting mix and keep on the dry side during the winter months. Hardy in the mildest parts of the UK, otherwise, simply bring the plants into a greenhouse or cold frame. They do not appreciate too much winter wet, otherwise, very easy to grow.
Supplied in a 7cm pot.
