Description
Of all the Arisaema, Arisaema candidissimum must surely be one of the most beautiful and is worthy of a spot in any garden!
Typically starting into growth very late in the season sometime in late June, or even July, the plant reaches an overall height of around 60cm, producing a single trifoliate leaf and a stunningly beautiful long lasting spathe. The effect is greatly enhanced when planted as a group. Arisaema candidissimum is noted for it’s pleasant scent (a rarity amongst the Aroid family as a whole). Offsets are produced from the main corm, resulting in substantial clumps over a period of years.
We are offering the popular form with a rose coloured glow. It is often stated that the wild form produces pure white spathes, however, both the white and rose forms do appear in nature.
