Description
Pinellia cordata Pink Flowered Form. Price is per 1x flowering sized tuber and 4 leaf bulbils.
Pinellia cordata is a very small plant with narrow arrow shaped leaves and a dwarf inflorescence held level with the foliage. The species seems to be quite variable, and in this form, the leaves are plain green and the inflorescence has a pink flush.
This is a naturally small plant and ideally suited to a shady position out in the garden or to pot cultivation (probably a better idea).
This species produces naturally small tubers. Do not be alarmed at the apparent small size, tubers offered are flowering sized. An interesting feature is that Pinellia cordata produces small bulbils on the leaf axils and at the point where the petiole joins the leaf. These drop off in the autumn and can be used to make new plants. 4x leaf bulbils are included with each flowering sized tuber (leaf bulbils are naturally very small (0.5cm) and are best sown as you would with a seed.
