Description
Price per 1x flowering sized tuber of Pinellia peltata.
A very rarely cultivated species, Pinellia peltata is a dwarf Chinese species and makes attractive heart shaped leaves and bright green inflorescences held within the foliage.
Although this is a hardy little plant, and will in theory be absolutely fine out in the garden, it is much better grown in a pot where it can be appreciated and admired. Due to its small size it is easily overlooked when planted out in the ground.
Pinellia peltata makes stolons, which bury down into the soil soil and form young tubers. I have never seen seed form on this species despite having several flowers out at the same time.
Virtually never seen for sale, we spent a long time trying to track down this plant, and are pleased to offer a few tubers.
