Description
1x Sabal miamiensis growing in a 7cm pot.
Sabal miamiensis is an exceptionally rare palm species, now extinct in the wild due to habitat destruction and development in it’s native area of Florida.
Slow growing, but rewarding to grow, these seedlings will grow into superb palms with impressive palmate leaves and stout trunks. Reportedly hardy to quite severe frosts once larger. All Sabal’s need sun and heat to grow well, in addition to water at the roots in the summer. Growth so far for these seedlings has been quicker than expected compared to other Sabal species we’ve grown in the past.
These plants will make a nice plant for growing on in a warm greenhouse.
