Description
1x seed packet containing 10+ Anomatheca laxa Seeds.
Anomatheca laxa, the False Freesia, is a hardy perennial from Africa. Making a small corm, growth begins in the spring with flowering occuring in mid – late summer. This is a superb little plant for a rockery or gravel garden, only reaching around 25cm in height but with beautiful pale red / pink flowers. It can seed around under ideal conditions, resulting in attractive clumps and a real splash of colour.
Easy to grow. Sow the seed in a good quality seed compost. Seeds can take a while to germinate, but can be sown at any time of year. Do not use artificial heat as this can inhibit germination. Ideal temperatures are about 10 – 15 degrees. Eg, we sow these in the autumn and typically get germination the following spring.
