Description
Price per 1x offset tuber, approx 1cm diameter of Arisaema fargesii ‘Long Spathe’. This will need growing on for a few years before the flower is seen.
Arisaema fargesii is an unfussy and vigorous species. The flattish pinky brown tubers multiply easily through small offsets. This form has a particularly long spathe limb.
The spathe is strongly hooded and striped brown and white, with the spadix hidden deep inside. Eventually, Arisaema fargesii can reach large proportions. Our tubers are borderline flowering size, but will likely need one further year before flowering. The leaf will be ‘tear shaped’ (hastate) in young plants. As the tuber increases in size, this leaf becomes trifoliate.
Please note – the image shows the regular flower form of this species.
