Cardamine pentaphyllos is an unusual spring flowering woodland plant from Croatia and Slovenia. Reaching around 30cm tall, the palmate leaves each have five leaflets, giving rise to the common name of Five Leaved Bittercress. Pale lilac coloured flowers appear in late spring. A most excellent woodland plant for a shaded position in the garden.
Easy to grow. Growth appears in early spring and the whole plant disappears by the mid / late summer, ready to emerge again the following year.
