Ceratozamia miqueliana is a tropical Cycad species from lowland rainforests up to around 800m in areas of Mexico. Now unfortunately very endangered in it’s native habitat. It forms the most wonderful lush leaves with large leaflets, often tinged with red or brown in new leaves.
Sadly not hardy, but it will make an excellent pot plant. Overwinter frost free indoors. Keep dry during the winter months and water during the summer with a high nitrogen feed to stimulate a new flush of growth.
Seed raised here. An absolute rarity that we probably won’t be able to offer for many years once these have gone.
