Description
1x Dasylirion quadrangulatum seedling. Strong seedlings that have recently outgrown their 7cm pots and been upsized into 9cm pots.
Dasylirion quadrangulatum, the Mexican Grass Tree is a spectacular, if rather slow growing, plant from Mexico where it grows in abundance on arid hillsides. Eventually making a dense crown of toothless wiry leaves held on a thick trunk, it makes a superb specimen plant for an arid garden when larger, or an attractive and unusual plant for pot cultivation.
Growth is slow but steady. Plant in a well drained compost mix in full sun. Water frequently during the summer and keep drier during the winter months. Dasylirion quadrangulatum is remarkably hardy when kept dry for the winter.
