Description
Price per 1x flowering sized tuber.
Pinellia cordata is a small species ideally suited to a shady position. Leaves are narrow and arrow-shaped. Inflorescences are produced in summer, with the long appendix rising up above the spathe. A lovely little plant!
The cultivar ‘Yamazaki’ is generally larger in all its parts, with especially striking veining on the leaves and is highly sought after.
This species produces naturally small tubers. Do not be alarmed at the apparent small size! As a method of multiplying, tiny bulbils are made on the upper surface of the leaves at the point where the petiole joins the leaf.
