Description
1x Synandrospadix vermitoxicus tuber, around 2cm in diameter.
Synandrospadix vermitoxicus is very rarely offered for sale, mainly as it virtually never produces offsets. However, it is an easy species to care for and one that reliably takes to pot cultivation.
The large white tubers break dormancy in the spring before dying back by late autumn. Mature tubers are repeat flowering throughout the season. The inflorescence is heavily striped with purple lines on the inside and pale green on the exterior. The petioles are also attractively striped.
An unusual species from South America. It is not hardy in the UK and will need a frost free and dry winter rest.
