Description
1x seed packet containing 10x Aloiampelos striatula seeds
Aloiampelos striatula (previously known under the name Aloe striatula) is an impressive South African species, remarkable for its general toughness and ability to withstand cool summers and frosty winters.
Tough woody stems carry untoothed, succulent leaves and topped by bright yellow flowers on mature plants. Forming a good sized clump over time, this is an excellent plant for a sunny but sheltered position. Drought resistant and easy to grow.
This has taken -6 here in Devon without any trouble on numerous occasions. We have it sited in a bright and sunny West facing spot, although it does have some shelter from nearby plants. Reports indicate that it will return from the base in the event that the top growth is damaged during a particularly cold winter.
