Description
Eucomis pole-evansii is the largest of the Eucomis – a group of South African summer flowering bulbs, generally known as Pineapple Lilies.
Fully hardy when planted in the ground, this species needs full sun in a good fertile soil. Protect from strong winds which can damage the lengthy strap-like leaves. These can reach up to 1m in length in the largest specimens. Flowers are creamy white and can reach over 1.5m in height, at which point they are hugely impressive.
Our bulbs are freshly lifted and of a good size. They should flower this year, although this cannot be guaranteed.
A wonderful plant for the herbaceous border or for making a statement!
