Description
1x seed packet containing 10x Sonchus arboreus seeds.
Sonchus arboreus is a rare plant that is endemic to the islands of Tenerife, La Palma and Gran Canaria.
Reaching heights of around 2.5 metres, the stems are topped by impressive lanceolate and lobed leaves, much like an oversized dandilion. Very dense clusters of bright yellow flowers are produced in late summer.
Sonchus arboreus is an impressive statement plant. Although tender, it is easily overwintered under cool but frost free conditions and can either be bedded out for the summer months, or cultivated in a pot.
Sow these Sonchus arboreus seeds in a good quality seed compost at around 15 – 20 degrees C.
